What is all-state choir?
The Texas All-State Choir is an auditioned choir comprised of hundreds of high school music students from across the state. These auditioned singers have the unique opportunity to sing with an experienced clinician at the TMEA convention in San Antonio every February.
Students selected at Phase 2 auditions perform at the All-Region Concert in October. This concert is conducted by area university choral directors.
How am i selected for an all-state choir?
The UIL Region 2 schedules all audition dates. Auditions will be held 3 times during the fall semester at surrounding schools within the region. Each round will pass singers at increased levels of expectations.
